This policy applies to website visitors, current and potential students, alumni and any other user of services offered through our sites, including any websites or mobile applications operated by or on our behalf.

We collect various types of information through our website where you can express interest in our services, by means of our mobile applications, email, phone and in person where print materials and digital technology may be used to collect Information from you. Some Information is collected automatically through various web and Internet technologies, including social networking tools used by SIG University to foster communication and collaboration among members of our community. Other Information is collected when you: provide it in response to an advertisement, survey or a request for information; apply for admission; register for classes; order educational or other products and services; set up a social network or other site profile; or use one of our career resources, learning assessments or other interactive tools.

We may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect about you.

SIG Use of Cookies

Cookies are not used to disseminate significant information about members or delegates over the Internet or to analyze any information that members or delegates have knowingly or unknowingly provided.

Marketing Communications

If you do not wish to receive marketing email communications or direct mail from us, you may express your choice where indicated on the applicable email or other communication, or unsubscribe.

If you do not wish to receive marketing telephone calls or mailings, you may express your choice to opt out by emailing SIG University. 

Under California’s Shine the Light law, Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83, we provide California residents the ability to opt out of disclosures to education partners for direct marketing purposes. To opt out of these disclosures at no cost, email SIG University. 

Your Data Collection, Use and Disclosure

You may be able to opt out of our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in other situations subject to applicable contractual, academic, legal or technical restrictions and reasonable notice. 

Consent to Use Personal Information

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act(s) 1984 and 1998 (as applicable), SIG must store, host and otherwise process the information (including personal data) supplied by the member or delegate when registering for this website. SIG may send such data outside the European Economic Area for processing. If you reside in the European Union, please be aware that by registering for and/or attending a SIG event, you are by default indicating your consent that the personal information you have provided may be transferred and stored in countries outside of the EU, including the United States. Member and or other delegate agrees as defined above when registering for the website in order to allow SIG (or its designated agents) to use the information to send unsolicited direct mail advertisements, promotions and/or email campaigns or to make phone calls to member or other delegate.

Credit Card Account Information

SIG does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, SIG submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse. We will take commercially reasonable measures to secure and store your Information to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the Information under our control. We utilize industry-standard security measures when accepting your credit card Information during your registration or other transaction you have initiated with us, as well as whenever we ask you to log in to any of our sites.
